Message Your car appears to be Aztec Red not Cherry Red.. my first Z was Cherry Red and it is much darker, more like burgandy and it had metalic flakes.

And your car looks damn nice.. great mileage.. and great age owner to buy it from.... and great that it is stock (sounds just like mine when I bought it, though your mileage is better =P)

I really liked how the tt was so quiet stock too.. all you hear is the sound of the wind when the windows are down.. and up you hear hardly anything but things go buy real quick. But even with the stock exaust the Pop charger made the car louder.. and the hiper exaust is louder yet, but quiter then greddy. If you really value quiet.. Joe Mast has the HKS single 3in tip exaust and it was real quiet when I drove it. I don't mind the sound of my hyper too much though cause its decently quiet with windows up and music playing.

I know its exciting when you make the switch from na to tt.. and I think a lot of the tt owners here did have an na first.. but believe me.. stock will not feel fast for long. Right now it feels good down low, but up high its a whole lot of extra power you didnt have before.. and at first its pretty scary. But eventually you will grow use to that extra power and think that it has too much lag down low.. Once you get rid of cats and precats and get an exhaust it seems like the lag is sooo much better..and when you raise the boost it feels damn scary fast..but that will wear off too.. eventually you will have perfect control of the car, and it wont scare you any more and the lag thing will seem to bother you again. You will swear your car is getting slower until you realize you are beating most the cars on the road, and then when you let someone else drive it and you about piss your pants. The feeling your feeling right now where the car is "scary" is great, but you have to keep spending money to get that feeling back. The only slight work around I have found to this mod addiction delema is to get a beater. If you drive a daily car that is slow... your ttz will still feel like a beast=)

As far as mods.. go stg 3 !! you'll love it, you'll laugh at when you thought stock was fast. Anything less then stg 3 seems to be a serious waste of the cars potential. (I went stg 3 for about 1400 dollars). And go stg IV to help with that nasty lag. Test pipes and down pipes are always better, but gutting costs nothing and is a nice place to be for free until you can afford to do it right. My goal is to get true test pipes, down pipes, electric fan and underdrive pully and lightened flywheel for minimum lag.. and boost controller for steady boost, and bov's for fun, and New rotors for safety... and IC's for the summer days and hopefully close to 400rwhp at the wheels on stock turbos. If I can do all that, then I can rest assured my cars is at its prime potential with the stock turbos. I tell myself I can be "content" and not inclined to do Big turbos until after college. But we'll see. I keep setting my goal bar higher and higer..

I only tell you this so you know what lies ahead... and You'll laugh if you look back at this later, cause it's usually the way it goes..

And lastly GET A RADAR DETECTOR. You have a bright red car, and its FAST. It would be really easy to loose it to tickets and insurance.

Have fun man.. enjoy the ride and keep it safe and use good judgement.
